Over the counter drugs for Midwitner

Bonjour Brajs,

Alas, after what seems like months (almost certainly because it has been months), I’m proud to announce Carl and I have officially finished recording The Midwinter EP.

Tonight I finished laying down the mouth on “Moving Skyward My Body Dies,” Carl’s epic conclusion to The Midwinter EP in which our hero sheds the burden of his body and frees his mind to transcend into the singularity (it’s about space stuff).

As is tradition…the lyrics:

“Moving Skyward My Body Dies”
as performed by The Apache Revolver

“Drifting through infinity on an invisible piece of dust is a sliver of what once was my life, flesh and blood.”
“My body will corrode until civilization joins in extinction.”

“A razor line separates what is concrete with that manufactured inside of my mind.”
“No more of passing of what we used to called time.”

“This is the last stop, on a journey into vast nothingness.”
“My body will corrode until civilization joins in extinction.”

The mind is at the start and the body fades into the dust that is always the end.

Here, the story is simple. No longer shackled to the Earth and the societal duties that come with it, our hero understands the true meaning of life. His mind joins the unified consciousness of all other previously deceased Earthlings. It is this collective of thought that influences the world through positivity (fucking metal). Life on Earth is a distant memory…

So that’s that. Whew! I need to take a break. The speed at which Carl and I churned out this EP took a lot out of me. It took a steady dose of Dayquil, Nyquil, Benadryl and Ibuprofen what kept me going through these final weeks. But it was worth it. We’re certainly proud of The Midwinter EP, and we can’t wait to share it.

January 1st, 2015 The Midwinter EP will be available for pay-what-you-want download at theapacherevolver.bandcamp.com. Our good buddy, Kai, over at No Sleep Till Megiddo Records offered to press physical compact discs again. I’m not sure when those will be available for purchase yet, but we’ll make sure to give you the head’s up. The Morningstar EP is still available for purchase on his site as well.

Peace. Love. Metal.

XOXO,

– j
